The Korea Culture and Tourism Institute (KCTI, President Kim Se-won) and the Gyeongnam Research Institute (GRI, President Oh Dong-ho) signed a "Memorandum of Understanding for Establishing a Policy Research Cooperation Platform" on March 14 at the KCTI conference room. The partnership focuses on activating South Sea coast tourism through joint research in areas of mutual interest, co-hosting academic events (forums, seminars, workshops), sharing academic information and statistical data, and facilitating researcher exchanges for advisory and review purposes.

Based on this agreement, the two institutions plan to pursue research to lead culture and tourism industries in South Gyeongsang Province and the South Sea coast region, and explore policy advancement directions through data analysis. KCTI President Kim Se-won: "South Gyeongsang Province has designated this year as a leap year for the tourism industry, and the South Sea coast boasts world-class natural environments — through this agreement, I hope KCTI's diverse policy research in culture, tourism, and content will combine with GRI's rich expertise and resources to play a leading role in the era of local governance."
