Yeoncheon Fire Station in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 29th that to mark the "Fire Prevention Emphasis Month" it is promoting the "Metaverse 119 Safety Education" program that enables various virtual reality experiences of fire and disaster situations. The Metaverse 119 Safety Experience Center space is divided into: safety education space for promotional exhibitions, presentation meetings, and video education. It features promotional boards, OX quiz learning assessment areas, and various safety manuals covering not only fire safety experience but also emergency response procedures. The virtual fire safety education approach: traditional fire safety education relies on classroom instruction and limited physical drills; the metaverse platform enables realistic simulation of fire scenarios -- experiencing a burning building, practicing evacuation routes, learning to operate fire extinguishers -- in a safe virtual environment; the emotional impact of experiencing near-realistic emergency situations improves information retention compared to passive instruction; the platform can be accessed remotely by schools and communities that cannot host physical fire safety visits, extending the reach of fire prevention education across Yeoncheon County.
