North Gyeongsang Chilgok County announced on the 5th that it is conducting road name address education for 4th and 5th grade elementary school students in the region using "Geniverse," a metaverse platform-based digital textbook. "Geniverse" was jointly developed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and KT, designed for elementary student-customized education to directly build cities in a virtual world and easily understand the road name address system. The county conducted education titled "Road Name Address Education Visiting with Genie" starting at Yakmokgwanho Elementary School and then at Waegwan Naksan Elementary School on the 5th. Subsequently education will continue at Jicheon Sindong Elementary School and other schools on the 9th. The educational approach: Geniverse transforms abstract administrative concepts (how cities are organized with named roads rather than lot numbers) into experiential learning through virtual city construction; children who build a virtual city and assign road names develop intuitive understanding of the system logic rather than rote memorization of rules; the KT co-development reflects the telecom company involvement in digital education infrastructure as part of its social contribution and future customer development strategy.
