Cable Cars Decorated with Flowers and Various Photo Spots Installed
Free Cable Car if It Snows on Valentine Day... Various Events Also Held
Seohaelang, the only sea cable car in the capital region connecting Jeonggok Port in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province and Jebu Island, will undergo a large-scale renewal welcoming spring. This renewal was planned to commemorate selection for "2025 and 2026 Korea Tourism 100" and provide visitors with new experiences. The cable car connects the mainland coast to Jebu Island (which is only accessible via tidal causeway when tide is out); the aerial perspective of the Yellow Sea is the primary attraction; the 2025 renewal includes seasonal floral decoration of the cable cars, new observation platforms, and improved visitor facilities. The events include seasonal promotions such as free rides on days when it snows on White Day (March 14), creating social media-friendly experiential marketing that drives word-of-mouth. Jebu Island itself features seafood restaurants, beaches, and the unique experience of walking the tidal causeway when accessible -- the cable car complements the existing island tourism ecosystem by providing year-round access and a distinctive elevated perspective.
