Maninblock, a portfolio company of Kingsley Ventures, announced it will join hands with Korea University and Dongguk University to begin development of a Large Language Model (LLM)-based OB/GYN consultation agent. Maninblock announced on October 31 that it will participate in the "STEAM Research Project" of the team led by Professor Cho Geum-jun of Korea University Guro Hospital OB/GYN (Professor Cho Geum-jun of Korea University Guro Hospital OB/GYN and Associate Professor Kim Hee-seon of Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital OB/GYN). The OB/GYN consultation bot development: the specific medical domain (OB/GYN) is appropriate for AI consultation because it involves many common questions with consistent answers (pregnancy symptoms, menstrual cycle questions, contraception information) that patients are often reluctant to ask directly due to embarrassment; AI consultation agents provide a judgment-free environment for sensitive medical questions; the LLM must be trained on medical literature and clinical guidelines specific to Korean healthcare context; the STEAM research project framework (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) provides structured research methodology appropriate for developing a medically responsible AI application. Maninblock MediKoGPT platform: healthcare-specialized conversational AI solution being applied to OB/GYN as a vertical application; the Korea University Guro Hospital partnership provides access to clinical expertise for training data curation and medical accuracy validation.
