Geumcheon District Facility Management Corporation (Director Im Byeong-ho) participated in the "Population Problem Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign" organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Korea Health and Welfare Human Resources Institute on the 26th. This campaign raises awareness about population structural changes due to low birth rates and aging, and the importance of resolving population problems. The relay campaign format: each organization that participates nominates the next organization to join the campaign; this creates organic spread of participation across government agencies, corporations, and civic organizations; participation involves displaying campaign materials, conducting internal awareness events, and committing to HR policies supporting family formation (flexible work, childcare support). The population crisis context: Korea total fertility rate fell to 0.72 in 2023 -- the lowest of any OECD nation; the government has been running various awareness and incentive campaigns; a relay campaign approach through institutional networks is one tool for building broad societal acknowledgment of the issue even when direct solutions are complex and long-term.
