This video covers ATONES' 'CandiPay' service introduced at CES 2025. CandiPay is the world's first solution capable of simultaneous split payment across multiple credit cards in a single transaction. This differs from conventional payment methods that use only one payment instrument per transaction. This service meets the needs of consumers who use multiple cards for card benefits, and is receiving positive responses particularly in Singapore and North American markets. Ultimately, CandiPay aims to expand into a consumer-centered, data-driven global e-wallet service. This video demonstrates how fintech solutions can innovate consumer convenience.
1. Developing Multi-Payment Solutions
We have developed and are operating the CandiPay service — the world's first capable of simultaneous payment across multiple credit cards. Unlike conventional transaction methods, this service is an innovative split payment solution that allows consumers to simultaneously utilize the benefits of multiple cards they own.
2. Global Challenge of Fintech Services and CES Participation
In the early days of our startup, we aimed for domestic service but came to anticipate demand through government projects. We were selected as a top-ten company in Google's startup program and have experience showcasing our service in Singapore. We confirmed that Singapore consumers are creating multiple cards and there is demand for split payments. Based on this, we decided to challenge the North American market as well, and obtained the opportunity to participate in CES. Many people we met at CES had never seen the service before, but received positive evaluations of sympathizing with the problem recognition and understanding it intuitively.
3. Candy Shen's Collaboration Proposal for Student Payments
It is expected that card payments through QR code scanning will become possible within Sogang University.
If tuition payments are made through CandiPay, it will help parents meet their card spending requirements. If such collaboration is realized, it is expected that the company will grow quickly and be able to hire junior colleagues.
4. Consumer-Centered Fintech Business Approach
Many fintech companies are using loss-leader marketing by providing incentives such as coupons to attract consumers. Instead of such loss-leader marketing, we approach by providing services that consumers truly need. Consumers voluntarily provide their related data, and based on this we plan to expand into a global wallet service. We plan to diligently pursue future business with this direction.
